How do I track my finances in Green Room?

In this article, we cover inputting income and expenses in Green Room in order to track your expenses.

Finances Tab Reports

The dashboard in the finances tab gives you a quick over view of your income and expenses for your music business. We show a graph that summarizes any income or expenses tracked in Green Room as well as some insights on the current month compared to the past month.

The transactions tab shows all of your income and expenses as line items. Stay tuned for more exporting and filtering capabilities for transactions. 

Tracking payments to band members and team members

As you go through the process of creating an event, be sure to add roles and toggle on paid role if this person will receive money. This will open up additional questions like payment amount and description. Be sure to come back after the show to mark them paid and the payment date once that has happened.

Tracking income

As you go through the event creation process, the last step is the finances tab. Here you can input expected payment for your performance.

After an event, we highly recommend returning to this tab and inputting additional income like tips or merchandise sales. It's also best practice to come in and mark Income as received once you have been paid.

Tracking other expenses

In the same way that you input income, you can input expenses. This section will be pre-loaded with any paid roles that you indicated earlier in the event creation process. You can add additional expenses like gas, meals, etc in the creation workflow or after an event. Either way, come back later to mark those expenses as paid and indicate the payment method.
